How we Give
GIC encourages its members and regular attenders to be an active part of the ministry of the church by giving frequently and faithfully according to the Word of God. One way that you can do this is through online giving.
Our online giving system accepts Debit Cards (those that display the VISA or MasterCard emblem on the card).Click the button below to give using a credit or debit card through PayPal.
(Your donation will appear as PayPal Giving Fund on your statement).
When giving to GIC, please consider…
You’re tithe is what God requires of your individual income. Scripture says this amount should be 10%. Your tithe goes to the operating budget of the church, which includes ministries supported by the church.
An offering is a gift to the Lord above and beyond you’re tithe. Many at GIC give a tithe and also give an offering to other areas of church ministries.
- Giving is an act of worship. True worship begins when you realize that everything you have (your time, talents, possessions, etc.) belongs to God.
- This stone that I have set up as a marker will be God’s house, and I will give to You a tenth of all that You give me. Genesis 28:22 (HCSB)
- What should my attitude be? God wants you to be cheerful giver (ungrudging)
- Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
- What is my responsibility? God calls you to be a good steward over all that He has entrusted to you.
- Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you — guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. (2 Timothy 1:14)
- Where should my financial priorities be? God’s provision to you is a treasure (something of great wealth or value) to be used for His purposes.
- Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)
